It’s hiking season, join me on some upcoming outdoor retreats I’ve put together. I would love to walk, talk and dance with you ;0)
Here is my ode to the benefits of hiking.
Hiking gives us a break from our non-stop routines and a chance to reconnect with the natural world and self. Hiking is an opportunity to let your mind chill and contemplate the more abstract ideas of your life. While hiking and enjoying nature, you may actually feel and tune-in to a presence that communicates with you through the natural beauty of your surroundings. That presence is your true, higher self, the everlasting part of you – your essence. Learn to listen to it. It often comes to us during moments of wonder and silence, while appreciating the magnificence of nature.
In this sense of wonder, far from corporate culture and urban noise, you may begin to remember that you too are organic and a part of the natural flow of life and all things. From this connectedness with nature you are replenished with fresh prana, life force, joy and delight. This is why hiking rocks! ;0)
Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.
