cleanse & raise your vibration

March is traditionally, for a me, a time of intense spring cleaning. This spring cleaning involves getting my physical space de-cluttered and organized, but more importantly it is a time of internal spring cleaning. To some extent March is my rebirthing month. I recreate the new and improved version of myself, just in time for April. This process is not intentional, it’s my natural cycle and has been going on forever; once I began to become aware of the pattern, I began working with it.
What are your natural patterns, throughout the year? Do you work with them, or work against them and then get frustrated?
As always, at this time of year, I realize it is not the doing that matters, but the vibe. See, at the beginning of the year, I have all of these goals and intentions, and a whole long To-Do list of steps I need to take to reach my said goals. Being a gung-ho kinda person, though, I get so busy and caught up in the doing and completing of tasks that I sometimes forget the most important step – creating right vibration! Without aligning with the correct energy and vibe, I end up overwhelmed and unable to complete any of the tasks, which then leads to utter paralysis. No wonder it’s called March Madness!!
Like the Hawaiians say, hang loose! Getting uptight is the worst thing we can do, because it totally blocks up and freezes the flow.

So, after a very frustrating, stucky February, I came to remember there is nothing more important than first getting my vibration lined up with happiness, love and faith. All of my success and completion dwells in the chill, love and happiness zone. Duh!!! I know this, I teach this, but seem to forget it whenever at I get too eager to just get going already. But what energy is driving that “get going” mentality? Fear. Fear that I’m not doing anything. Fear that I’m not moving fast enough. Fear that none of my efforts are bearing fruits. Impatience! Fear that I need to succeed, quickly. Fear that I need to make money faster, else I’m a complete failure. Bottom line, fear! Dude?! Is that really the vibration I want to be in? Is that vibration gonna attract cool ideas, clients and success? No! That vibration just makes me tense, crazy and uninspired. That vibration of fear and worry totally demagnetizes everything!
Whoa, I hadn’t even consciously realized I was operating from a vibe of fear, until I slowed down and began the process of internal de-cluttering and spring cleaning. No wonder I was getting nowhere. Conclusion? Any action taken while I’m still worried, anxious, stressed, unclear or perplexed is a waste of time and counter-productive. Wrong vibe = undesired result = frustration. Again, the most important step to succeed in any endeavor is to first align with the right vibration.
Groovy man. So what is the right vibration for success and how do we cultivate it?
Check yourself before you wreck yourself! Where’s your head at? Get still. Take time to examine your thoughts, feelings and motivations. What is driving you or paralyzing you? Fear and worry or love and enthusiasm? Thoughts of inevitable success or inevitable failure? You always get what you expect, so you better get your thoughts and expectations aligned with success. So, before you even begin tackling your to-do list towards your goal, you better raise your vibration, and get into the happiness dimension – because that is where all of your inspiration and success resides.
10 Ways to raise your vibration, feel the love and get happy.
- Dance! Music and movement are proven techniques for raising spirits and vibration. So, slap on your fave music and dance it out. Naturally, this is not the time to stick on Nirvana! ;0) Put on something that makes you happy, positive and groovy. And, dance like nobody’s watching. Rock out!
- Go on a hike. Being out in nature is always calming and aligns you with your true spirit, which then recognizes its oneness with all of the vast beauty, and when that happens, your vibe is instantly raised to love. In the vibe of love you begin to see all of the possibilities versus the impossibilities. Not too many people remain feeling like mad and angry little trolls after an hour hike through woods, or along a beach. Don’t live close by to any nature? No worries, parks and streets work too. It’s mostly about walking, breathing and chilling the mind. Focusing on breath, is a mind elevator in itself.
- Do yoga. The calming benefits of yoga, upon your mind, body and spirit is without question. A flexible mind and body opens you up to new thoughts and higher vibrations. A morning yoga practice is a great way to get your vibe in the right place at the outset of the day.
- Meditate. Still your mind from frantic worries. Once you are calm and silent, your mind and spirit is able to tune into the divine and receive answers to your questions, inspiration and guidance on the right next actions.
- Exercise. Hit the gym, run, hit some balls. For some, the tension needs to be worked out in a more intense way than yoga, hiking or meditation. Whatever it takes to get into the chill zone, do it. Get from uptight to loose. When things are loose, things begin to flow.
- Spend time with kids or kittens ;0) Children and animals, generally are bundles of pure love, joy and unbridled enthusiasm – get into their groove and enjoy the fun, imagination and love. Be as a little child (carefree and of a all-things-are- possible mentality), to enter the kingdom of heaven/happiness.
- Do art. Doesn’t matter your skill level. If all you can do is doodle, doodle! Drawing is something that sets us free from the overbearing, controlling rational mind. Don’t plan to draw anything in particular, draw with the unconscious. Art is art, there is no good or bad, right or wrong. Else, grab a coloring book and just color. Let go. Play. Have fun. Get inspired!
- Hang out with a fun and positive friend. Love and laughter are sure ways to lift the spirit and vibe. No friend to hang out with? No problem, watch a funny sitcom or movie.
- Make a list of all your accomplishments. Remembering how much you rock, reminds you that you can do anything, once you get into the right groove.
- Chant! Repeating mantras or affirmations are powerful mind cleansers. While you are chanting, worries and other negatives thoughts are silenced and are replaced with the new positive thoughts. Positive thoughts and words are like a light and serve to lift our vibration high, out of the darkness
