I have been rockin’ out to music since I came out of the womb…music is the language of my soul. All of my life, my spirit has guided/healed me through various transitions through sound, lyrics and music. Though I was born in Pakistan, I was raised in the UK since toddlerhood. All through my formative years, I felt no connection to my genetic culture. But, it would seem the music of my heritage is embedded in the code of my essence, for my spirit responds to it like fish to water. Thievery Corporation seems to have a direct line into my inner receiver. I have also had the good fortune of meeting and interviewing Rob Garza, during my internet music programming days.
